Father Romel Eustace

Fr. Romel Eustace was born in the town of Pignon in rural Haiti. He studied for the priesthood and was ordained in 1995. His first assignment was as associate priest at the Cathedral of Hinche. Two years later, he became director of the Emmaus Retreat Center in Papaye. In 1999, he was sent to study in Paris, where he received two masters degrees, one in catechism and sociology, and the other in anthropology and liturgy.

When Father finished his studies in France, he returned to the Emmaus Center, where he served from 2003 to 2018. During this time he also taught Liturgy at the major seminary in Port au Prince, and methodology of research at the School of Law in Hinche. He often traveled to the USA to teach liturgy to Haiti congregations as well.

In addition to now providing leadership for his new parish, St. Louis King of France, he is also working on his doctorate in Land Sciences and Atmosphere.
